I cannot see how we are already at the end of January. Perhaps because it is so cold and I do not get out much I do not see the time go by this fast. Anyway, it has been a great month. With the release of the new Occasion Catalog and the beginning of Sale-A-Bration I have had lots of new products to try out. Today, however I decide to go products from the current annual catalog. The Paper Players 180 - Perfect Pennants.

Greetings!

Time for another Paper Players Challenge. The sketch is really cute and my card features a pull out "tag", rather than being a traditional "open up" card. It is like a little hidden, secret message. I used the new and beautiful Perfect Pennants stamp set for the greetings and the Creative Elements for the background. Dynamic Duos 87, RetroSketch 99 - Morning Meadow

It is cold outside! This year winter came fast, fierce, and furious here is Wisconsin. I hope some of you are enjoying better weather. However, this weather gives me the perfect opportunity to get in my craft room and play a bit. New challenges were posted at the Dynamic Duos as well as the Retro Sketch. With nowhere to go and nothing else to do, let's play! I used the Morning Meadow stamp set  along with Label Something for the sentiment. The color combo is a beautiful one too. Pals Paper Art 189 - Sweetest Gift

Greetings!

I just learned that one of the children that plays the violin with my daughter just got a little baby brother. The baby arrived about 6 weeks earlier but everyone is doing well and are at home. I want to send them a card, but none could be found in my craft room. I looked up what was going on in the world of the paper challenges and found the right sketch for this card at the Pals Paper Art. I proceed to use the Sweetest Gift stamp set along with the Window Frame Collection and the much needed card was born - no pun intended! Anyway, enjoy and share your thought with me! Sweet Sunday 203 - Daydream Medallion

Greetings,

We always need some sort of masculine card and if inspiration to make one comes around it, I grab it by the horns. The Sweet Sunday sketch is beautiful and I can see myself using it again. Since I was in the mood to make a masculine card, I pulled up the Daydream Medallion to add a bit of touch to the cut out flower. Dostamper Stars # 066 - Summer Silhouettes

Greetings,

Dawn Olchefske has put together yet another fun and great challenge for the DoStamper Stars Thursday Challenge. Sometimes I am a bit intimidated by color combination, but as soon as I start getting paper out, I can see all the possibilities of the colors together. I used the sentiment from You're Lovely stamp set that will be available to you starting on January 28th through Sale-A-Bration! I also used the Summer Silhouettes as I am truly ready for some warmer weather. Enjoy!

Tip: I cut the top layer using the Deco Labels collection. Using a separate piece of Whisper White card stock, I stamped the images and attached to the Coastal Cabana base. I use dimensionals to place the top layer and finalize the card!

Dynamic Duos 86, Retrosketch 98 - Peaceful Petals

Greetings!

  

Baby it is still cold outside, but inside it is truly delightful! Even better when I get to stamp and enjoy my time in my favorite corner of the house. I headed downstairs to my craft corner and got few more cards going. I love to combine challenges and this one showcase both a color combo from Dynamic Duos and a sketch from Retro Sketch. I then used a stamp set from the new Occasions Catalog called Peaceful Petals and the paper that soon can be in your hands too from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, Sweet Sorbet. I like the calm of the color combination and the greeting too. I hope you will enjoy and do know that I am always thinking of you.

I used one of the framelits that are part of the Thinlits Circle collection to create the sentiment. I cut one in Pink Pirouette and another in Basic Black. I split the Basic Black one and offset it behind the Pink Pirouette paper. A quick, simple, and elegant detail!

Pals Paper Arts #188 - Label Something

Wow, this past week was wonderful and I am going to start this new week with this note: it is going to be an even better one! To start out, I worked on this card for the Pals Paper Arts and decided that I liked to combine the Label Something stamp set with the Birthday Basics DSP. The sketch for this challenge is simple and elegant; I added texture using the Decorative Dots TIEF, a bit of ribbon and the card was put together in a snap. The Label Something set is very versatile and the Artisan Label punch is a great addition to any and all stamp room. If you do not have one yet, you can order one via my online store at any time. Fusion #2 - See Ya Later

Greetings,

To continue the good vibe of the week, I am working today on a card that was inspired by the Fusion challenge. I love the looks of yellow, black, and gray, so the color combo was right! Then, to make it fun I decided to go with the See Ya Later stamp set, as it had the perfect greeting for the color combination. I also used another Sale-A-Bration item. Can you spot it? That's right, it is the Decorative Dots TIEF. It gave the right texture for the background. A bit of ribbon to complete the looks and this card was put together in no time. Hope you enjoy it. Tip:  The dual color background card stock were cut the same size - 2" wide x 5 1/4" long - placed next to each other in the embossing folder and ran through the Big Shot. It was easy to line up the dots once it came out of the Big Shot.

The Paper Players #178 - Backyard Basics

Wow, this has been a fun week and it is only Tuesday! I know the week will end in a high note and the following week will be even better. I liked the color combinations of the The Paper Players challenge and since we are in need of some Spring, I allowed myself to pull out my Backyard Basics from the shelf and put it into good use. The sentiment is from Love & Sympathy. We all need a sympathy card sooner or later, so I decided to use a more cheerful, but subtle,  color combination and make one. So, what do you think?
