Color fun.

Image may contain: text

This has been a nice quiet break at our house. We had a wonderful Christmas and hope you did too. The snow is almost all melted, but the temperatures got low again. I got some much needed organizing done and I am still not done. Time was also allowed for crafting!

I had made some cards and realize I am low on Birthday Cards. Since I have new products, I figure it is time to put some miles on them with the Dostamper Stars 211. I totally love the Avant Garden stamp set, a Sale-a-Bration item and also the Delicate Details, which I stamped in the Sweet Sugarplum layer, adding a Old Olive ribbon in between the stamps. I use the new Watercolor Pencils to add the color to the top flowers, and let me tell you, those pencils are a dream to work with. A tad bit of Wink of Stella to the center of the flowers, just for the fun, and this card is ready to go. Way too many birthdays coming up. But I also need to work on some thank you cards... I am in luck!

Thank you for visiting today. I look forward to a plentiful new year. Be well

Miriam

Dragonfly Dreams

Hello my dear friends and readers,

The busy time of the Holidays tend to get me out of my craft room and I miss you dearly. I got a bit of sinus infection / cold and I am still not feeling my best. However, my husband is on vacation, so he is home and has been a tremendous help. He took the children out and I got a bit of a break and went to my craft room. I sure needed that time as I have not played much with the supplies I got from the upcoming Occasions catalog. I believe you have already received your copy, but if not, let me know and we can certainly arrange to rectify that.

The Dragonfly Dreams set caught my eye right away, and I knew this would come in my first order. Howe can one say no to this set? The Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits that bundles with the stamp set is so pretty and it is indispensable. For today's card I used both the stamp set, the thinlits, I used the new Avant Garden stamp set, which you can also get it for free during Sale-A-Bration, as well the Awesomely Artistic stamp set. I kept the colors mute as I want the dragonfly itself to pop and make an statement. I did not stamp it, but instead cut with the thinlit and then cut the wings again using velum. I gave a coat of Wink of Stella in both the body and wings, which sure made a dramatic difference.

I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and Holidays Season. I appreciate all your support, comments, friendship, and times spent together. I look forward for a beautiful and crafty New year. Be well

Miriam

Wonderful.

Image may contain: text

This only barely describes how the Christmas Concert performed by the Brioso group from the Barcel Suzuki Strings Academy was. They performed at the Milwaukee Art Museum and we have made a tradition to go every year to see it. This year, it was the first time my daughter performed, and that made the tradition that much more precious. Exhilarant!

The past week was very busy with my husband out of town all week, rehearsals, lessons, group lessons, Christmas party; I could not find much time for crafting as I had wished. I started the week with a bit more free time, but still not as much as I wish. I prepare the card for the Dostamper Stars 210, and went on with the Brushed Silver and the new Birthday Blast stamp set and the Star Blast Edgelits dies. I absolutely love both of them and look forward to using them a lot. I heat embossed the image in black as I love the combo of silver and black. It made the starts pop more than the photo shows. The new catalog is a chocked full with beautiful products and if you have not yet received one, just let me know. All my customers get their free copy by making at least a $50 purchase. I sure want to be your demonstrator.

Thank you for your visit. I love to have you over. Be well

Miriam

It is the Season!

Season's Greetings! It is getting cold out, so we know that the winter is slowly getting settled in. I just hope it does not over-stays the welcome. But, I must admit there is beauty, joy, and deliciousness that come in this season.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, christmas card, seasonal bells stamp set, baker's twine, heat embossing, su

Looks at the photo inspiration for Dostamper Stars 209, does that look like delicious cookies or what? They are pretty and intricate. I like the bells so much I "picked" those for my card. I heat embossed Soft Suede with the White Powder, and using the same White Powder and the Seasonal Bells stamp set and punch.  I embossed the sentiment and the extra imagine on the bottom of the Cherry Cobbler panel. I popped the bells up with dimensional and add a small bow made from Baker's Twine. Some Rhinestone for a bit of glam and this card was done in a snap.

Thank you for your visit. I love having you over. Be well

Miriam

Busy season, pretty nature.

Well, I am getting on the hang of the routine again, but this week there are lots going on. This time of the year gets so busy we hardly have time to enjoy it all. And, on top of it all, we got some snow accumulation on Sunday. First of the season. It was a heavy, wet snow, so the trees looked magically beautiful. I do not enjoy the cold weather, but times like this I can see and appreciate the beauty it creates.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, mm, christmas card, swirly scribbles thinlits, pretty pines framelits, perfect polka dot, big shot, hardwood background stamp, su

I cannot create such magical sight, however, I can create some card using that as part of inspiration. I made this card for the MM 477 and I am rather happy with the result. I enjoyed combining the Swirly Scribbles and the Pretty Pines framelit. I did not add a sentiments, as I think it certainly was not needed. The ribbon and bow, well, that's another story all together.  I have that sheer ribbon stashed away and it was a perfect match for today's card. I think I have in mind who will be getting this one in the mail. Maybe I will repeat it and make a few more!

Thank you for visiting today. It is always good to have you over. Please come again. Be well

Miriam
